A big thank-you to everyone who participated as a walker or sponsor in our 2011 Stroll on May 7! Your efforts brought in $15,000 to support moms and babies—and you made the Stroll so much fun, too. Blue Ridge Women's Center has the most wonderful group of supporters. We're grateful for your passion for our work and your deep commitment to the women and babies we serve.

This year we were especially excited to see so many children raising sponsorship for the Stroll and so many parents helping them do it. With a new generation of supporters like this, the future of the Center looks like it's in very good hands.

Special thanks to our corporate sponsors—Lanford Brothers, Spirit FM, and Blue Collar Joe's—as well as to Pastor Terry Kemp (Chuckles the Clown) and Colin Campbell (Stroll spokesman Wilfred Abrams) for volunteering their services.

We also want to recognize the following for their extraordinary involvement in this year's Stroll:

• The top five sponsored walkers—Nancy Martin, Chris Ludington, Cindi Holsinger, Laura Wilbon, and the Lankford family—each of whom raised over $500 in sponsorship!



• And while we're mentioning families, we want to mention the Escalera, Campbell, and Braaten families, too, who raised their funds individually but whose collective efforts brought them in range with our top sponsored walkers.



• Grace Church, the church whose walkers raised the highest total amount of sponsorship—almost $2,500!



• Sovereign Grace Community Church, the church with the most participants—22 registered walkers plus many family members who came and walked with them!
